About 4 years ago, we had the first slot in this series, and Play n Go is back with an upgraded version of the same.
In our review today, we take a look at Moon Princess 100, the third slot in this series and one that was recently released by the same developer.
In this recent release, Play n Go has considered better rewards, similar graphics, and lots of exciting features.
Here are all the details about Moon Princess 100 slot:
Moon Princess 100 relies on a 5x5 reels design, and to form a winning combo, you will need the help of 3+ matching symbols. These can form either horizontally or vertically.
Its features include wild symbols, free spins, a Trinity bonus, and up to 100x multipliers among a couple of others.
I’m a great fan of real money bets, and I was excited to spin a couple of such rounds on this slot game.
To place a bet, I needed just $0.20 on every spin that I made, but if you are a high roller, you will have the opportunity to use as much as $60 per spin.
I love the huge improvement on this game compared to what we had in the original title, and on a good day, you can hit wins of up to 15,000x the stake, per spin.
However, I also noticed that this title is highly volatile, but it is comforting to have a decent RTP of 96% that handles this level of volatility quite well.
Although the slot may appear to be based on a Cluster Pays system, I didn’t find it to work quite like that. To form combos, I needed between 3 and 5 matching symbols, and these had to be arranged within the same column/row.
These must also appear next to each other, and with 5 rows and 5 columns present, it is quite possible to form as many as 10 different combinations and at the very same time.
Symbol drops occur once a combination forms, so the winning symbols get removed. This leaves empty positions on the reels, as no new ones come to replace the old symbols.
With the possibility to rearrange symbols, those at the top dropdown in the available empty positions, triggering more wins, plus additional combinations. With each drop, I got a boost to the multiplier, and once the round was over, the feature reset.
The wild is present here, and as usual, it is the feature that I used to replace the regular symbols. Also, the wild can pay on its own, giving you up to 50x for each of its own combos.
Then there are the Girl Power modifiers, and these will trigger during the losing spins. They are associated with the Moon Princesses, and each has its work.
While in the symbol drops feature, I got to fill up a meter by 1-3 positions (this is for combos of 3-5 symbols). With 3 full sections, I was able to gain access to Trinity. While in this mode, I got to trigger all three powers in a single spin.
My favourite feature in slot machines has always been the free spins, and I was very happy to find them in Moon Princess 100.
It’s while in the free spins mode that you get to enjoy a multiplier of up to 100x, with a possibility of getting 100 rounds (these can be retriggered by refilling the meter).
The slot borrows from the Anime-style design just as we have seen in previous releases from this series.
The 3 Moon Princesses are among the available symbols, and this is why we get to see Star, Love, and Storm. There are additional low-value icons that include a Star, Bell with wings, a Moon logo, and a Heart Pendant. The wild serves as the feature symbol.
Moon Princess 100 may be a great addition to the series, but personally, I don’t see any major improvement from what Play n GO previously released.
However, it’s a fun slot machine with lots of potentials, and I can recommend it to all levels of players.
